The Monterrey Museum of Contemporary Art is located within the Zona Centro district and is one of the city's premier museums. This stylish building was constructed in the early 1990s and boasts more than ten separate gallery spaces, each of which is themed and well lit, often containing a water feature. This museum also boasts a series of regular events, a popular shop selling a range of art works and gifts, and a coffee shop serving basic refreshments. The giant black sculpture of a dove, created by Juan Soriano, is one of the museum's signature pieces.

The Monterrey Arts Centre, known locally as the Centro Cultural Arte, is an important cultural venue in the city and features a series of individual gallery spaces, each of which displays a collection of themed art works. Many of the pieces have been created by artists from all around the Nuevo León state and beyond, with highlights including photography displays, traditional paintings and modern sculptures.

This interesting gallery space can be found within the library at Monterrey's Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León campus. Apart from its many books, historical documents and current publications, many people come here to appreciate the regular art exhibits, which come in various forms, such as paintings, drawings, sketches, photographs and sculptures, and are created by the students themselves.
